Chris Gayle Personal Life

The thrusting Jamaican Chris Gayle was born on 21st Sept 1979, in Kingston Jamaica. He is left-hander aggressive batsman & right arm off break bowler. Gayle started his career with one of most famous cricket club from West Indies Lucas Cricket Club. During 2007 to 2010 he was caption of West Indies Team. He is one of the player who had score 2 triple centuries in his career. In all format of the game he is most dangerous player in world cricket, he is well known for his big hitting. He hadanother recordof hitting six on first ball of the match in 2012.

Another most significant inning played by Gayle in 2013 IPL, he score 30 ball century which was fastest century by any batsman in any format of game. In that match he scores 175 runs which is also one the world record. When he is not playing cricket, he enjoys playing video games and also likes Tom & Jerry show on the television.

Chris Gayle Early Career and Playing Style

Chris Gayle is one the calm and cool cricketer in world cricket, still in 2005 he was involved in a dispute between West Indies cricket Board and players. Due to this reason he was dropped from many matches. During 2012 again he was found in dispute and again lost his place from the team, around one year he does not play a single match from his team. But after having awesome in IPL season, West Indies Cricket Board selected him for next tour.
At the age 19 he make debut in first class cricket, after eleven months he played his first one day international match & after exact six months later he got chance to play test cricket for West Indies. Normally Gayle is more destructive batsman from West Indies side, In 2001 he make one record of highest opening partnership of 214 runs out of which Gayle had scored 175 along with Daren Ganga who scores 89 runs.

Chris Gayle ODI Career

Chris Gayle starts his ODI career in September 1999 against India. But in the starting of his career he was not impress much more. At the end of 2002 he end the year with three back to back centuries and gathers one thousand runs in one calendar year, he was the third batsman after Vivian Richards & Brian Lara from West Indies who have score 1000 runs in one calendar year. He is one the six player who have score more than 150 runs in a single ODI match.
During Champions Trophy 2006 he was awarded as “Player of the Series” in that series Gayle score 474 runs with the help of three centuries. He took eight wickets in this series and saved many matches for West Indies. But in World Cup 2007 he had very poor form and disappointed his fans. Chris Gayle captained the West Indies Team in the period of 2007 to 2010.

Chris Gayle Test Cricket Career

Chris Gayle made his Test Cricket debut in March 2000 Against Zimbabwe. In 2002 he make a world record opening partnership with Daren Ganga of 214 runs, in this inning he contributed 175 runs and Ganga made 79 runs. Against South Africa he score 319 runs and give huge lead in that test match and recorded highest individual score in Test Cricket & it was first triple century by Gayle. But within few day Sri Lanka’s skilled batsman Mahela Jayawardene who broke hi scored and make 374 runs record.

In 2009 he scores fifth fastest century in test cricket, he score century in just 70 balls. In that inning he hit the biggest six 140 meters which is world record hit. In 2010 he score triple century and become the fourth cricketer who score triple centuries twice in Test cricket after Bradman, Lara and Sehwag. In 2012 he create another record in test cricket he hit six on first ball of the test match.

Chris Gayle T-20 Cricket Career

Chris Gayle make his T-20 cricket debut in February 2006, against New Zealand. He score his first T-20 century in the opening match of T-20 World cup 2007 against South Africa he score 117 runs in just 57 balls. Gayle is the only batsman who score a century in T-20 cricket, Gayle is the only cricketer who have hit centuries in all formats of the game. Gayle’s batting style exactly suits for the T-20 cricket he opens the game for his team and play some power hitting innings.

In T-20 World Cup 2009, semi-final match he played some classical innings for West Indies. Gayle also holds the record of highest centuries in T-20 cricket. Gayle score 75 runs in just 41 deliveries against Australia in the semi-final math of ICC T-20 World Cup.

Chris Gayle Indian Premier League Cricket Career

In the first season of IPL 2008 he was auctioned at $800000 by Kolkata Knight Riders and become most expensive player from KKR side & became the part of Kolkata Knight Riders for two seasons. He missed out many matches of first season of IPL due to West Indies tour of Sri Lanka. He played total seven matches in that season, but he could not perform due to injury. In 2009 IPL season he could not play due tour of England.

In 2011 IPL season Gayle was transferred to Royal Challengers Bangalore team I replacement of Ross Taylor. During that season he was not selected for home series against Pakistan. In fourth edition of IPL in first game against he scores 102 runs in just 55 balls, in this inning he hit 10 fours and 7 sixes. After few matches he hit another century in IPL career against Kings XI Punjab. Gayle won Orange Cap for scoring 608 runs in 12 matches in fourth season of IPL.

In Fifth season of India Premier League Gayle score 733 runs in 14 matches, in that season he hit total 59 sixes. In the last season, the match against Pune Warriors India Gayle broke many records he make 175 runs in just 65 balls in that inning he hit 17 sixes. He completed his half century in 17 balls and century in just 30 balls which is also a world record. In the whole career of IPL Gayle hit total 150 six which is also a record.
